An applause for both hazy and nausicaa. You both are so talented. Keep it up! ((I wanted signed copies when the books come out! ))

Wow hazy, you've written some awesome stuff!!
I need to catch up on this thread...looks like I missed a lot of good stuff.
When you publish your first novel (or have you done that already?? ) Tell us. I'm sure we could get the book club to read it as one of their projects!!

True that, brenna. I'd keep it on the list forever until we read it (or, I'd just turn to the dark side and switch the voting around or maybe even say no voting until we all read it! j/k)...

Here's another picture I did. It's not really finished. Anyone have any ideas about what to do for the background?

Brenna, you are so damn talented! I can clearly see the emotion in the picture and I would think that drawing portrait are difficult already. Is he wearing an miliatry hat? If so, maybe the background can be of him leaving to get on the boat, truck with flags or something.

Thank you so much, eldee!! It is a military hat. That's a good idea. Although, generally, I can only draw things that I'm looking at. I can't just pull it out of my head. Maybe I'll look for a picture with an officer getting onto a boat though.

    Again another fantastic drawing Brenna.

I know someday you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be a star in somebody else's eyes... but why... why... why can't it be me?

Wonderful, brenna! I wish I had an ounce of your talent.
The expression on the chid's face is so moving! I wish we could see more of his father's eyes, though.

Well, I am back with another one of my word concoctions... Btw, I to you, brenna. That is a wonderful drawing. I agree with seeing more of the father's eyes, though.

I wish that there was more to say.
This conversation hangs for another day.
I can't call without you hearing me.
It certainly seems you never do.
A sad day for me to cry again.
Another moment wasted in my hands.
I wish that there was more to say,
instead of just my partial mumbling.

Sitting here, alone, I wonder why.
Why a memory haunts me? that I cry...
I beg each night for my soul to let go.
It's too much to ask so soon, I know.
Sweet fantasy please leave me be.
    Let me live without seeing
    all that could have been...
    all that I'm missin'.

Thoughts escape me as I smile.
My laugh isn't a faraway echoed sound.
I can see the pleasure growing over me.
    Oh, sweet intoxication take me
    to another place of mystery.
You've helped me travel to this day
where I finally know the words to say...

    Good-bye.
