Unexplained : The Brody fan writes too! Kudos! Oh, and I like your new signature line! Good job.

Eldee : Awww, we’re all natural poets. It was quite lovely. You’ve got to be one of the friendliest people on the boards. (And good photos).

Did I already say I liked Splatty's work?

Blindart : I said it before, and to Mantenna too, but I adore your new avatar! We must hypnotize him: try out for AI try out for AI try out for AI…Mantenna, are you feeling sleepy?

Firegirl : Great group of vulnerable, feeling, poetry. I agree w/Eldee! I love, love, love, “All These Chains”. I’m lovin’ this stanza:
“Does he keep you in his game?
Just to see how long you’ll play
Does he cheat you to win
While using pretty words for pay”

Oh, and your poems are reminiscent of “The Great Hazy” poems, they have that “vibe”, feeling-wise.

Thanks Hazy and Shazzer, that's to nice of you folks!

Now I don't know if I should post this one because it rhymes, but here it goes--#2.

    MINI DEATHS

    Quietness envelops me
    Darkness fills the sky
    The world is silent tonight
There is just you and I

The earth moves on its axis
    The moon begins to spin
    Passion is now flaring
    Now this ride begins

    Smooth caresses are tender
    Hands begin to grip
    The waves are now rocky
    Someone must stop this ship

    Anxiety turns to fear
    The unknown worries my heart
    Strong arms go around me
    My back begins to arch

    Eyes rolling upwards
    Toes start to curl
    Stained muscles taunt me
    Stars commence to swirl

My skin is now on fire
My lips are warm and wet
    I can not struggle free
I am caught within his net

    In space there are sounds
My breaths are short and tall
    The universe is vast
Yet, I no longer feel small

    Nothing seems to matter
    I travel without time
    My hair is being pulled
Are they your hands or mine?

    Coming back to earth
    I now feel no regrets
    What is the other meaning,
    Of the “mini deaths”?

Eldee - 'Safety' is wonderful I love poetry that doens't rhyme or have a particular scheme. A++++ 'Mini Deaths' is quite literary. I give that an A+++++! Very well done. I enjoyed reading it so much. I even read it twice. Sounds like a personal theme but you caught it and didn't make it inappropriate in any way. Keep at it! I think there is a starved poet in there waiting to be let out...

This is going be a trip to the doldrums, but oh well... This next one is entitled 'Death.' Here goes...

1 Death, so lonely, dismal, dreadful.
What can put this glorious thing away?
Death cannot be denied, but given.
Whether you go to heaven or hell?
That's up to the folks you tell!

2 Is it a dream to fall into darkness,
the mildew and dust caked in your heart,
Your soul leaps into a misguided journey,
your tongue cannot tell of the past's lovely light.

3 The sun, will you remember it?
Will you remember its sweet joy?
The bliss of a lover's kiss
beneath the elm trees of the north?

4 And what of philosophies and books to read,
    songs to sing and melodies?
    What of sorrow, horrow,
    that laugh's shining twinkle?

5 Death, so dark, dingy, depressing.
What can hold this animal in its cage?

6 Death can be given, never denied
    Whether heaven or hell?
    That is destiny's say.

    Well??
