    Re: My art

I will also say that the art is amazing, Duxxy!

Now for my humble contribution. My photography skills can't even begin to compare to fredlun's (I love the broken glass on sunset shots), however, I do try. Of the 850+ photos that I've taken with my new camera, these are my absolute favorites. I'm going to have to break them up into several posts, just because there's so many of them!

For starters, the camera itself. It's a Nikon CoolPix L11.

These next ones are mountain scenes, which I took on vacation in the White Mountains. I'll post 5 here, then make another post with more of them.

This was the onle clear day that we had. Oh well.

About 5 miles away from our campsite. Simply breathtaking.

I like how the cloud ssnakes around the mountain....

Meaningless flower picture, which I took to get on my sister's nerves.

I stood in the water to get this one. It was very cold.

    Re: My art

Sometimes the simple ones are the prettiest.

Maple leaf. It's not the clearest picture, but the angle works.

    A waterfall.

Happiness comes in a large, puffy mushroom.

I got this one with the Macro feature on my camera.

And my computer just gave up on me. I'll post more later.

    Re: My art

    Thanks misskitty!

    Here's a few lot more...

This was supposed to be the first one on the second post...I don't know why it isn't....

Maple leaf. On the ground. Yeah.

    Tree branch over water.

    Another meaningless flower picture.

I liked the way the leaves framed the mountain.

    A scenic mountain view.

And these are just some random shots that I took around my backyard. Nothing exciting.

    A wintergreen plant.

    Random furry weedy thing.

    Random furry crabgrassy thing.

    Clover flower.

Beautiful photographs 11sstephanie. You have a gift, a wonderful eye.

Duxxy, that picture of your daughter in her beautiful room was so heartwarming. What a sweet smile, and she looks so happy. What she said about "sleeping under icing" was magical and very creative. I can see where she gets it from, you did an amazing job.

Tirlittan, your quilts are beautiful. Also, I loved your poem, written when you were homesick.

What a talented bunch here at FORT!

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, Ms Duxxster! When are you coming through Michigan?? Do tell!

Your daughter's room is gorgeous, as is your daughter! She looks so proud! I've also seen some cross stitch patterns that would match that screen perfectly... do you stitch???

Stephanie.. your pictures are gorgeous! I read the captions a little backwards and for a minute I thought that gorgeous scenic mountainview was in your backyard and I was going to scream with envy!

I used to stich regularily - but not since I had M.
We were going to hit the UP next year on our way to Manitoba, I told the Mr. that I wanted to see more of the US than Detroit (I'm not knocking it, I was just visiting in a bad part of town)
I want to get to ??Christmas MI - the place where it's always Christmas.
