FORT Scattergories

An idea I had today, after playing the game a week and a half ago.

The format I have in mind goes like this:

First poster comes up with ten categories. Next poster decides what letter of the alphabet third poster will have to answer each of the categories with. Third poster tries to answer as many as they can in one post.

Don't know how successful this game thread will be, but I suppose it's worth a shot. And if anyone has any good format changes/ideas of that listed above, I'd love to hear it.

For now, I'll start with naming the first 10 categories.

1. A male name
2. A female name
3. An animal
4. Country
5. Actor
6. Actress
7. Fruit
8. TV show
9. Adjective
10. Music artist

If I were the second poster, would I take the first category (a male name), and if I did should you (as the first poster) dictate what letter of the alphabet my answers should begin with. Technical question but I don't want to mess up your concept. Thanks.

What I had in mind was the second poster would choose the letter the third poster would try to answer all ten categories with.

And preferrably the three posters in this chain are all different, meaning the same person that named the categories isn't the same one that answers them after the second poster gave them their letter.

I'm missing something in your logic, but it's late (10 pm here) and I'm tired.

Hopefully someone will pick up on this and I am better if I see how it works before I tackle it.

That's okay. It's basically like the actual game but with some slight changes as it's being taken to the forum.

Okay. For argument's sake I am the 2nd poster and I choose C. Now the third poster will have to post something to the effect of :

1. A male name- Charles
2. A female name- Catherine
3. An animal
4. Country
5. Actor
6. Actress
7. Fruit
8. TV show
9. Adjective
10. Music artist

etc. Is this correct? Now, should the 3rd poster only fill in one word for each category or multiple words?

What will the 4th, 5th, 6th poster do?

Yes that's correct.

The 3rd poster should only give one answer for each category.

The 4th, 5th, and 6th posters will be the new #1, #2, #3, and so on.

You can if you want. Is the format of #1 #2 #3 good? If so and if we're using my ten categories then you'd be the first to pick the letter and whoever the third poster be will be the one to fill out the answers.

Okay then. I will choose "C" as the letter to start with. The next person who comes along will fill in the 10 categories with words starting with "C."
