Rhyme Time

no friends here to play.
I was going to leave
but decided to stay.

I wondered what
would interest me
so I looked until
I found page 3.

Lots of forgotten
games to play.
Games to amuse me
for much of the day.

It's alway fun
to talk in rhyme,
so, jump on in,
it takes little time.

On this great thread
Writing some poems
I hope you won't dread.

It been a long time.
Was hidden away.
But CMD brought it back,
so now I'll play!

The chores pile up.
Will I ever get done?
I don't wanna work!
I wanna have fun!!

Do you read this and think
"wanna's" not a word?
My reply to that is
I like being absurd!

Making up words
is a fun thing to do.
As long as they make sense
to me and to you!

I found this old thread
If you compose a rhyme
you have nothing to dread!

Tis the holiday season
and we all are so busy!
I work myself into
a terrible tizzy!

The shopping and baking
and trimming the tree...
all these things
are too much for me!

So I take a break
and come here to play.
If makes a nice and
relaxing day!

Not far from our home
And there we cut down a tree.

The man at the farm
Said twenty-five dollars please
Because that's how much it cost, you see.

Not a popular topic I see
again, it's back past page three.

I used to write rhymes all the time
when taking a bath or standing in line.

I'd write them while scrubbing the floor.
I'd write them while painting a door.

I'd write them while peeling potatoes
I even rhyme while weeding tomatoes.

But now, alas I can not think
of any rhymes that do not stink!

I thought exactly the reverse.
The dry, sunny weather we're experiencing now has me elated,
for we have been nothing but inundated.
