    Re: Rhyme Time

    I'll try real hard
    To write a poem
    I'm just not a Bard
    And I write at home

    The words don't come
    When I want them to
    Makes me feel real dumb
    And that is true

    Re: Rhyme Time

Hubby and I need to go out on a date
And we'd better hurry before it is too late.
All he wants to do is talk about the house
Otherwise he is as quiet as a mouse.
I am so sick of building construction
Let me loose with a crowbar and you'll see some destruction!
What matters to him is roofs, windows, and insulation
All which give me headaches and frustration.
I just want it finished, over, and done
So we can get on with our lives, and have some FUN!

Baby -- fabulous poem. Have you tried just expressing all this to him and perhaps getting some paid people in there to speed up the process? Not my business, but I feel your frustration on a daily basis.

    Re: Rhyme Time

Baby wrote a really good rhyme.
The work on her house is taking much to much time!

Construction site living is such a pain
Very slow progress, not much gain.

Baby, buck up and keep that smile.
I'm sure hubby says "It will be done in a while"

Tell him to hurry as fast as can be
Or Baby will end up totally craZEEEY

How sly I am to bump this thread
Just before I head off to bed.
Maybe by the time I wake
There will be some new poems for laughter sake.

    Goodnight!

    I'll try a lot
    To make you giggle
    But it may just appear
    to be squiggle.

    Perhaps my brain
    Will wake up soon
Or else I may need to
    Howl at the moon!!

    Re: Rhyme Time

How can I compose a poem
On a day when my mind refuses to roam?
I have no imagination, no wit, no thoughts
The more I think about it, I'm getting distraught!
Is this old age setting in
Or just a day without any whim?
Please tell me this blank mind of mine will go away
Like a lifting fog on a bright summer day.
I want so much to be creative and fun
But for whatever reason the words just won't come.
