I wonder why Filipino starts with an "F" and Philippines starts with "Ph"?

I actually know why!!! My boss is from there and she told us once that the the country was settled and named for King Philip (spelled Filipe in Spanish) of Spain. I think the Filipino is more of a Tagalog (which is based in Spanish) word for what they call themselves. At least that is what I remember.

I wonder why people have red eyes in photographs. They don't when you shine a flash light into their eyes, why when you capture a photo when a flash goes off?
