I was about 10-15 years ago in NYC. I tried to jump a big puddle from the street to the curb. (What can I say, I'm not a gymnist)

I don't even remember giving up on something, but I'm sure I must have.

WWTLT you ate something spoiled and got sick?

hehe, I shouldn't say such things publically.
WWTLT you truly felt wanted by someone.

In a family sense, all the time.

In a friendship sense, a lot.

In a oh, honey sense, not for a while.

WWTLT you bought something to use and still returned it?

Yesterday. Actually, I bought it on Tuesday, used it on Wednesday, and brought it back Wednesday night. (no big deal, though, it was a coaxial cable for my TV, it was too short.)

Embarrassing return story: When my best friend and I were in our early 20's, she bought a dress from this really cool clothing store. She was going to wear it to a New Year's Eve party. I thought she ended up not wearing it, but it turned out she did, tucked the tags in, and she asked me to return it for her (I had no idea she'd worn this, and we were always returning things for each other/doing errands for each other, so I didn't think anything of it). She had spent all night dancing in it. :rolleyes So I'm at the check-out counter, trying to return this dress, and the woman looks at me snidely and says, "this has been worn." I'm insistent, of course, that it hasn't. :rolleyes Then, in a very embarrassing show...she holds the dress up to me to show me the stains under the arms! My god I was so embarrassed! But what could I do? I had just spent the better part of a half an hour insisting that it hadn't been worn. Clearly I could see it had, but I knew I'd feel like an ass if I said, "oh...duh...you're right" at that point, so I kept insisting they take it back. :rolleyes Not my finest moment...but anyhow, they finally did take it back, in a huff, and I was never treated well in that store again. When I went back later, it was hanging on a mannequin. :rolleyes I was mortified. I looked like a pompous ass. :rolleyes

WWTLT you told a really long, pointless, slightly boring story for strangers to read, yet spent too much time typing it, that you decided to post it anway?
