Yes, someone who wasn't invited because their teenage daughter had a temper tantrum last year and broke six of our crystal wine glasses and 3 bottles of wine, showed up because they were invited by another friend of ours (her best friend.) Last night, we did a gift exchange-- one real gift and one white elephant. The teenager wanted to do the gift exchange with the adults. The kids had their own party in the basement that my oldest daughter was hosting. I say kids, but my youngest daughter was the baby in the group. Five of the kids are in college. They had their own real gift and white elephant gift exchange. Almost every adult in the room encouraged her to go to the basement. Her mother allowed her to stay upstairs and exchange gifts with us. All through the gift exchange she pouted, yelled, complained and told everyone their gifts suck and their white elephant gifts were stupid. She ended up doing a trade to get back the Hot Topic Gift Card she brought for the gift exchange. When the kids came upstairs, they were all laughing and excited about their gifts and fun white elephant gifts. She had another tantrum and hit my singing snowman off the mantle. It fell to the floor and the arm broke on it and it won't sing now.
Did you guess that NONE of my kids like her?
Can you believe she never even apologized? Then her mother and her mother's best friend coddled her because she didn't get anything she wanted in the gift exchange. Well maybe she would've if she had done a gift exchange with the other teenagers. Her stepfather was livid with her behavior, but still couldn't get her mother to take away her Porsche.
I did sleep well last night.
Did you have chocolate today?

I had mine last night and hardly anyone was able to come thanks to the stupid H1N1.
