You like being lied to if it creates a more pleasant picture of your world or yourself.
"The day will come when, after harnessing space, the winds, the tides, gravitation, we shall harness for God the energies of love. And, on that day, for the second time in the history of the world, we will have discovered fire."
I don't like being lied to, but I like feeling good about myself and my world. Is this a trick question, Nick?
I like listening to audio books.
I've never listened to an audio book - so I don't know.
You like the "Sham-Wow" guy.
ps - I'm pretty sure all of Nick's questions are tricky.
Ha! The Sham-Wow guy... to me, that's like saying you like fingernails on a chalkboard. He is about the most annoying guy I can imagine. The only thing that would make him more annoying is if he kept yelling out "AFLAC".
You like tricky questions
(and yes, I guess the quesiton was a little tricky--it has to do with self-deception and others enabling one's self-deception. For example, a huge part of the mortgage crisis is based on people being told they could afford loans that there was no way they could afford, but it made them feel better for a while.)
"The day will come when, after harnessing space, the winds, the tides, gravitation, we shall harness for God the energies of love. And, on that day, for the second time in the history of the world, we will have discovered fire."
Well, tricky questions do make one think, and thinking is a worthwhile activity.
