    Liliger! Yes! Not just a Liger, but a Liliger. Triplets were born in the Oklahoma Zoo to a liger mother and tiger father! Ligers are rare, but Liligers even more rare. As I understand it, two ligers would not produce an offspring, nor could a female lion and male liger. (It has something to do with the female XX chromosome, though don't ask me to explain it.)     Panther.

    “Panther” is used to refer specifically to the black panther which is not a subspecies but is the name by which melanistic breeds of jaguars and leopards are known. In Latin America, they are black jaguars while in Asia and Africa, they are black leopards. Also named panther are big cats that are tawny or spotted and the white-colored cats such as the white panther.
