3-minute poetry

[BlondieGirl]

held captive by my computer

first, i had a trojan
which i'd gotten from the web
than i had a dialer porn
about a girl who gives good head.

all of this was followed by numerous viruses,
oh, how frightening!
and then i go crawling to "computer cops"
for help, oh how enlightening!

my bytes have turned to bits,
i have Spybot and Ad-Aware 6.
dont forget CWshredder,
and i do have Hijack This,

Spyblaster and ie-spyad...
my Norton AntiVirus is always scanning!
my firewall is my fortress,
and my security is so demanding!

my ports seem always open
and intruders are on the prowl
spyware, adware..."fadware",
i am ready to throw in the towel!!!!

we are help captive by our computers
that once gave us so much pleasure,
now i am on constant high alert
with critical Windows updates for good measure!

so if you see me online
i'm not chatting with a friend...
i am getting rid of spyware, viruses, worms, and trojans,
of which there is NO END!!!!!!

The egg timer has been turned over
Above the keypad, my fingers hover
Thoughts and sand are in a race
I must fill up this empty space
The mountain below grows taller
"Oh darn!", I hear myself holler
Alas, I can no longer carry on
The sands of time are now gone

I'll turn over the eggtime for another try
And write about birdies that in the sky fly
There's blue ones, red ones, yellow ones too
Better watch out for falling doo doo!

What the heck did I just rhyme?
I'm panicking, running out of time
This poem may be awfully "on the nose"
But the sand has stated I now must close

In I don't know how long
I wonder if the final version
Will sound like a hit song
J.D. should contact Kid Rock
To see what he thinks of my rhymin'
Maybe he'll give me some tickets
So I can have a good time'in
I have just a minute left to write
My daughter is demanding my attention
So I'll sign off now with a minute to spare
And I won't have a chance for correctin'.

At beauty I am not a star,
There are others more handsome by far.
But my face I don't mind it because I'm behind it,
It's the people out front that I jar.

If an otter drew clouds for a living
would the crocodile care to buy?
his scrutiny can be unforgiving
but otter still gives it a try

To give up would be a shame
and the otter ain't no quiter
this poem is really lame
that's why I don't twitter

And my minutes are three.
I have three short minutes
to write some po-e-try.
The topic escapes me.
The weather? The news?
My clothes? My meals?
My old tennis shoes?
Playing on FORT helps me consider
the urbane
and mundane.
It's 9:22
Now where is my shoe?
Did you know my water is out,
Giving reason to pout?
Well, it's 9:23 ...
time to end my po-e-try.
