I didn't think it was cheesy. I thought it was very nice, and I'm certain it's heartfelt, which gives it an added emotional punch.
When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey

I agree with Paulie, Feif - not cheesy, but heartfelt.

Now, my hockey poem was both.

    OK. I'll shut up then.

Paulie, Wayner, This one is for you two. I wrote it in the middle of a panic attack right before my Government Final in High school. It took less than a minute and it shows...hehe!

    Frantic

    Time is short
    Everything's a rush
    The end is drawing near
    Life is long
    Our hearts are strong
    The message is unclear
    I care so little
    I care so much
    What feelings should I feel
    I hear it all
    I see it all
But I don't know what is real.

OK take into account that I was 18 when I wrote it. Want some macaroni with your cheese?

That ain't cheesy. It's perfect for that period in your life, don't you think? Heck, it still applies at times, don't you think? Very nice.

Impressive, Feif. If I was having a panic attack, I think my poem wouldn't turn out nearly as well:

    Augh! A panic attack
    Ack ack ack
    Noooooooo!
