    Re: 3-minute poetry

Not much new is going on ...
    Can someone suggest a theme?
It's windy, yes, for some us us
But not for the whole FORT team.
    Eastwick is going down,
    making several members frown.
    Was supper good?
    Are you feeling well?
    How is the neighborhood?
    Please, do tell!

Oh you love to tease me
knowing what it takes to please me.
I hope I haven't put too much stock
in my Detroit cowboy -- Kid Rock.
    See, my attention, I am
beginning to focus now on Jon Hamm.

I told him to stop following me
but he stays hooked to my shoes
I've tried to run away from him
but he's Oh so hard to lose

    It's time for another rhyme,
    wouldn't you say?
    I haven't submitted a poem
    since before Thanksgiving Day.
    We've had lots of rain,
    while Romantic's had snow.
    Regarding Black Friday shopping ...
    I didn't go.

    Addressing Christmas cards
    Shoveling snow
    Drinking some tea
    Warming our toes
    Having a laugh
    Typing a note
    Winter days pass
    Here on FORT.

RGW...you are a master at this!

Parties, parties, well, tis the season
That is not quite the real reason
Jesus Christ was born that night
To fill us with His Holy light
Now I pray for friends on FORT
Cause I am just a loving sort.

Today on FORT you'll find that
    Cali needs to bake cookies,
    and Romantic's in a
    party-planning state of mind.
    I'm limping around
    because an ice cube tray
    fell on my toe,
    and sweet Nana's popping in
    to say a cheery "hello."

    Darn ice cube tray!

    Cookies, parties, ice cubes, toes;
That's just how this story goes.
You all are busy, bustling round,
While I sit and gain another pound.
What I really need is energy,
To kick-start me, would you charge a fee?

    Hi Nana!
    Did you get any snow?
Off to Grandma's I did go,
I'm surrounded by ice and snow.

No snow here and not much ice,
    Staying inside is very nice.
    Holidays will be over soon,
As for me, I'm lookin' forward to June!
