No one will cut gourds at my house. I have not had them since my kids were small.

We have a patch near our home where peeps come to get their gourds. There is a spook house there, too. I like those.

My girl made a face (with a blade) on a wee orange gourd today.

A long time past we grew the gourds in our yard. One was so big. We did not want to pick it 'till it was time to cut it. Then, one night, a bad troll stole it! My kids and I were SO mad and sad. The vines had grown all thru the yard. It was a mess. And we did not get the big gourd to carve!

What kind of peep would do such a thing? It was not theirs to take! When I see gourds smashed in the road on Nov. 1, I feel bad, but to lose a big gourd that was still on the vine... well that to me just seems so much worse. Shame on that troll.
