I thought I remembered them saying, "Echo Base", but "Station" might be it. Close enough anyway. Next question to you, phat.

I was torn between "Echo Base" and "Echo Station."

Speaking of that base on Hoth:

How many AT-AT walkers were deployed in the land attack against the Rebels on Hoth?

Were there . . . four? That's a complete guess. All I know is that one of them took a bit of a tumble.

This is a total guess on my part too. I'm thinking there were at least eight or nine, though.

No and no. It's between Mantenna and stargazer's numbers.

Oh boy. Okay, I'm ruling my own question moot. The answer I had in mind, what I remember seeing on-screen, was five. (So, well done, OnMyLunchbreak. )

    However, I found this: http://www.answers.com/topic/battle-of-hoth

Their source seems to be a sourcebook called Inside the Worlds of the Original Trilogy. (Great page, by the way, if you like background information. I'm fascinated by the way the topic is approached, like a discussion of a military engagement that actually occurred.) <--- Military history , that's me.

According to answers.com, there were 9, so Stargazer was closest.

First one to this thread, give us a question, please, and let's just forget my sloppy question ever took place.
