Thanks for the welcome, and no, I'm not allergic to dogs. I had a mini Yorkie attached to my side for about three years, and not even one sniffle.

I've got a hankerin' for an icy cold Corona. With lime, natch.

Did anyone drag out the boom box yet?

Ooops, I forgot a big to Jewels. You know I'm always on the "A list" for these get-togethers!

How you doin', buddy? Lot of fine-lookin' FoRT ladies out tonight.

I was just telling everyone how you would play guitar for us later on.

    Phat! *bumps knuckles with Phat*

I'm great, thanks! Oh, I'm slated for guitar tonight, eh? I could handle that.

Who else do I see . . . Jewels! Pom, JD, Sleepy! Hello, everyone.

Jewels, the recital went nicely, thanks! The church I played in was so hot, though. No air conditioning, and magnifying windows all around me. Midway through the piece I was pretty much on radiant bake.

Phat - what a great idea! We haven't had one of these forever! You really set this place up nicely. Good host you are.

Poor thing... melting on stage and all.

This knuckle-bumping thing looks like it would hurt.

    Mmm, I love margaritas.

If I start talking a mile a minute, I've had too much to drink.

Ah, that's okay. When that happens, people just think you worked extra-hard.

What's that? Party? Just something that happened spontaneously from "What Are You Eating/Drinking?" , like three weeks ago, when J. and I told a friend we were grilling out, and suddenly I was hosting nine adults and three children.

Alabama is real pretty this time of year--the sun's only setting now, still warm enough to relax (but not too hot), and you can really hear the cicadas chirping in a little bit.

Funny thing is, I'm really firing up the grill in a minute, but I'm sticking around this thread. Wish y'all really were with me, but I hope to see y'all soon enough at Fortcon II.
