I found it was hard to be popular when over acheiving... of course by the time I tried to be average, everyone knew it was an act anyway... sooo. be yourself.

pissing off teachers with smart a$$ remarks or pissing them off with stupid remarks?

I think being stupid is the wrong way to go, but being a smart-a$$ is plain rude. I'd rather be stupid. At least you can laugh about it.

I prefer running laps to swimming laps.

    I prefer actions to words.

Well, it's true that actions speak louder than words.

Building muscle mass or getting good cardio?

Depends on my mood. And apparently the "muscular stringbean" look is very "in" at my old school.

As much as I love running, I prefer a long, brisk walk to a fast sprint.

Well, I have a majestic sprinting style, probably because I learned how by watching leopards in nature films. So when I run, I open my eyes real wide and let my tongue slap the side of my face. If you saw it, you'd say "Thats very majestic"

I prefer the grunge look to being grungy.

    Me too.

I prefer historical Gothic culture to the modern Gothic culture. Can you even call it culture?

you can call it a culture.... heck mold is a culture.... and like most goths, I don't want it near me.

I prefer humanist gay men (like Michaelangelo) to contemporary nutjobs.

Historical Gothic culture is extremely fascinating.

I agree with you, even though nutjobs are quite funny to witness in the first 5 minutes.

I prefer knowing someone who admits to their flaws to someone who denies them.
