    Welcome back, Chiro!
Just got through reading Glennajo and Firegirl's discussion of their gift-wrapping prowess. They put me to shame. I am the kind of person who frantically wraps gifts in the comics pages from the newspaper on Christmas Eve.

Yeah, I do use those quite often, they're wonderful. But you know, sometimes you forget to buy one....and the comics page is always right there handy.

See, I can tell, you're the type of person who plans ahead.
Actually, my mother saves gift bags; we reuse them lots, even if they're a bit scratched or nicked. I use gift bags (when I remember to) for friends, but for family presents under the tree, we wrap. I'm not very good at it, though, so presents from me are always a bit lumpy and sticky with tape.

That's my wife's answer to her lack of wrapping skills.
Some people are like slinkies, they're useless until you push them down the stairs.

Absolutely, actually I am having a "wrapping party" on saturday. Wine, snacks, christmas movies and all the wrappings, adornments, and supplies a couple of friends, no kids and assembly line!

Then we are going to a friends gift store for her stocking stuffer open house to look for little stocking treats!

One good wrapping tip, I buy white wrapping paper and brown paper by bulk. Then I splurge on the trimming, I get flowers, ornaments 75% off after Christmas, ribbon, little stuffed toys etc and put them away. Then I wrap the presents in either white, red, or brown (butcher paper) and go nuts w/the ribbon and stuff. It ends up being beautiful and not too expensive. Wal-mart, Target, Hobby Lobby all end up being great places to get stuff cheap after christmas.
