Hmm, according to this babynamer my name means "to bind".
    Fluff, bondage queen

I was always told it meant something much different growing up.
I will have to ask my mum where she got the meaning from.

You just put a WHOLE new image in my head, fluff. You're like Crazy Glue Christi in my mind. Where's Paulie when the need arises? Do I have to say his name 3 times?

My mum had a baby book and I can remember reading all my siblings names in it and it said mine name meant "beautiful one".

    "To bind" isn't very appealing.

It also says that Rebekah is an alternate spelling of Rebecca, when we all know that Rebecca is an alternate spelling of Rebekah

Fluff, this just shows that you can't trust information you get from the web - anyone can put up anything.... I'm sure you are "the beautiful one"!

Oh, I don't know about that, Bondage .

For future reference, John, three times is correct. I'll appear magically with tongue dangling and eyes bugged.

I haven't checked out my name on the web site yet, but I've always been told that "Paul David" means "little, beloved one". Don't know who they're calling "little".

I believe this is post #2000, BTW. I rule.
When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey

Excellent. Interesting to find out what names mean. I had no idea what mine meant until I did this.

Jennifer means pure and yielding. We are talking about a baby name site. That would be acurate. Hehe!

Augh. I was hoping this topic would never come up, because my name doesn't mean something like "Defender of the virtuous" or "One who carries a big sword" or something cool.

Nope. My name means "Wagon maker". Add my middle name which means "Precious", and I'm a precious wagon maker. Oh yeah, that's sexy, that is.

The name Wayne ranked 72nd in popularity for males of all ages in a sample of the 1990 US Census. Surprisingly popular, I am.

BTW, congrats on hitting 2K, little one.

I was doing the name's of my children. My oldest's middle name is Anthony... I got this:

This boy's and girl's name is used in English. Its source is Antonius, a Latin name whose meaning has been lost. Learn more about the heritage of this name.

HOW could the meaning of this name have been lost??????

    weird! I'll guess it means:

    One who's Mother is perfect
