Re: Future FORTcons?

Glad to know I'm not the only one interested! So, who WAS the driving force behind the other FORTcons?

Elizabeth, a small group sort of put their heads together and came up with a few details for both of the Fortcons. They just researched hotels and things to do and passed the info along to anyone interested.

I believe I would come to Atlanta or Orlando. I can't believe I said that, but I would! I think it would be a blast!

Re: Future FORTcons?

You know I'm always up for a get-together of Forters. The south would be fine with me, how about someplace like Myrtle Beach? I could kill two birds with one stone and visit my sister in Wilmington, NC. My brother-in-law says flights into Myrtle Beach can be pretty cheap.

Re: Future FORTcons?

I'm a little late to this topic. I had thought many times that instead of one big fortcon that not everyone will be able to attend, that people who want to host a get together can host one in their area. That was just my thought.
But if Fortcon is going to be held in Atlanta I'm down with that. I'm in B'ham and with enough planning ahead I wouldn't mind renting a car and transporting Forters from our airport to Atlanta. I would also be willing to help any way that I can but I don't know anything about Atlanta.
Memorial weekend is out for me. That's the Geowoodstock weekend.

Nothing against Atlanta, but I would love to go to a beach town or a real tourism-y type place like Vegas or NYC. If I'm going to take a trip, I want to gamble and/or lay on the beach!

San Diego's an awesome place! We have beaches for every taste and personality type. And casinos are just a 45-minute drive away. (P.S. I give great tours.)

Re: Future FORTcons?

If beaches and casinos are requirements then Mississippi has both. I would love to have a Fortcon in the South and I think a lot of Forters would be pleasantly suprised.
