Re: Future FORTcons?

I think a Mexican Riviera cruise would be perfect. Lots of activities, beach visits, on-board gambling, all you can eat -- what more do you need?

I think ya'll would be pleasantly surprised at all Atlanta has to offer, you wouldn't miss the beach or gambling.

But we could always plan something in Myrtlebeach, SC. The Hard Rock has just added an amusement park there.

I think you should all come to Milwaukee. We could give you a full fledged blizzard or a "small" snow storm. We do have a Potowatomi Casino, Tours at the Miller Brewing Co., and a gazillon other things to do which I don't because I live here.

And for the cruise part, we could do the two-buck (unless the price has gone up) Iroquois tour on the Milwaukee River! (But then instead of snow, we'd have to "settle" for humidity and mosquitoes . . .)

That's why Atlanta makes sense as they do have cheap flights into Atlanta from just about everywhere.

Re: Future FORTcons?

I was thinking a bit more selfishly - I wouldn't have to add airfare to my cruise ticket!

Re: Future FORTcons?

Ok, so back to my original question.....who were the original movers and shakers of FORTcon and how in the world do we get them motivated? I really, really want to meet a lot of ya'll. I have no idea how to plan or organize gatherings, but I am really good at following directions and taking orders!

Does anybody within 100 miles of Atlanta want to get together after the holidays and start a ball rolling? Or just get together and hang?
