| *sniff* I'm back and already having withdrawals....I can't say enough how cool it was to meet so many of you from here. It was so much fun and I'm just sorry the time slipped away. Seems Vegas had something to offer for everyone, even a little dose of reality TV live and in person for a few as I understand (Strip Search guys) ![]() Some highlights: Friday meet and greet at the Casbah Lounge at the Sahara....it was funny to introduce yourself as your screen name and it was equally funny to learn how many had similar personalities as to how they post...but that's all I'm saying about that one because by the next day, someone was telling me I might be entertaining on the next Big Brother series, but I just don't see it I almost sent Unk to another room...I got the room # wrong for the Big Brother viewing party...never trust a blond with directions Unk! ![]() Saturday...margaritas all the way around by the pool and lots of great conversation...thanks again QueenB Queen, I had a lot of fun trying to look for matching mugs with you at the souvenir shop. ![]() Sunday....hmmm, I see a theme, ritas by the pool again. I see Mardi Gras beads so it must have been a fun Saturday night! Pomeraniac also had the perfect shirt...two Pomerianians that we all got to sign. It was last call by the pool (does Vegas have such a thing?) but some of us got some "extra special" drinks from the bartender before he left...hmmm, wonder if he gets paid by the bottles he empties? Sounds like a good incentive to me! Anyway, it was a lot of fun....thanks John and everyone else responsible for planning this get-together....it was a very memorable weekend. ![]()

| Glad you are back Igotalife but it sucks that you had to go straight from the airport to work. Is everyone back home now? Now that it's Monday I just want to know that everyone made it home safely. ![]()

| Hey there! I am back from Vegas, safely, but sad I didn't have more time to do things while I was there. Time just slips away in that town! I had a couple of meet-ups with Mariner, Critical, and Roseskid, and only got to see the rest of you briefly on Friday night... except for the imcomparably lovely Ms Snowie-snow and family. What a bunch of dolls! It was a pleasure, and my sister (Tamera on FORT, Tami IRL) had fun, too! And I just want to say that I'm way sexier than that blur on Queenie's group picture suggests. WAY sexier. ![]() So... what's the plan for next year??

| Some of us didn't fly out until Monday. Everyone should be home by tonight. It was a great trip. We all got along well. The neatest part was getting to meet everyone for the first time and feeling like you've known them forever. Very cool. Queenb's crown was a hit. She was worshipped up and down the strip. It also attracted cute drunk guys which didn't bother us at all. ![]() Meeting Unk, Jewls, Libs, Pom, Critical, Roseskid, Jluvs, JD, Gracie and Mr. Gracie, Ineedagotta, Snowflakegirl and everyone else was fantastic. I didn't even imagine how great it would be. So much fun. People, save for next year if you can...it is a blast. It was different staying up Friday night until 3:00 in the morning. Heck, I would normally have been in bed for hours by then. In a couple of hours normal me would be getting up. Didn't stay up quite as late Saturday because of foot blisters. Aside from meeting all you great folks my highlight would be stopping at the Frog nickel machine, plugging in $5 and 2 minutes later walking away with $100. I didn't gamble at all after that. I have never won like that and wanted to keep it. | |

And totoro. I think every one of us was way better looking than the pictures I took. Maybe someone took a few that will do us justice, but I doubt it. Everyone else should just try to make it next time so as to see for themselves!Quote:
I actually wanted Snowy's Mom to have the crown, but it just fell down over her head. So I brought it home, maybe I'll use it again. In fact, I was pretty tired all day Saturday, so I mostly hung out in the vicinity of my pet slot machine in front of the Casbar Lounge and just jumped in when any Fortians passed; hence the pool party, and the cafe group later. I only left for a few minutes with Igottalife, to the Bonanza store, and thankfully Keith (hegottaIgottalife) gave us a ride back even though it was only a couple of hundred yards. I have to say, I had a blast, really. I was kind of apprehensive about meeting the group, but that went away in a matter of minutes. I just hope we do it again. To everyone.. "I LOVE YOU MAN" (and I secretly hope I was not too talky or whiny-- too many beers!) and sorry I didn't tell you so properly before I left. I'm just now starting to feel what passes for normal here. Luckily I don't have to go back to work till Wednesday night.

| I guess I will post vaguely in here about what I did and I am sure that others will fill in the blanks. After meeting Dagwood and getting situated in the room we went over to the Sahara to see who was around. I walked into the lounge and was honestly not sure if anyone from the FORT was in there but luckily a few people said:There is Jluvs and I knew I was in the right place. I sat back and watched from the corner for a while, unfortunately for everyone there my shyness wore off after I had a few drinks Watched the Big Brother show with all the FORTers who went up to viewing party and then went and saw American Storm with Yardgnome77 and SueEllen, for those that don't know -- Strip Search on VH1 brought about this show. I think I will leave my comments to a minimum about the show, but I had a blast and after having painfully shy conversations with them -- I do have a new favorite.Day 2: Got up kind of late and found Unk first and then met up with a whole bunch of other people and about twelve of us, give or take on the time of day, talked, drank and just got to know each other. It was so relaxing and lots of fun. Went out to eat with the Gracies, Libs and Dagwood at Calfornia Pizza Kitchen. Went with Libs to go see American Storm again Was not as shy this time...I will just leave it at that. Went back to the Sahara and hung out with some FORTers and eventually went back to Circus, Circus to crash.Day 3: Had breakfast with Dagwood. Went to the Flamingo with Unk, Libra and Dagwood. Unk then had to leave So the three of us went to some other casinos and then back over to the Sahara to chat with everyone by the pool again. Went gift shopping. Hung out by the pool some more. More eating , more hanging out, more drinking and then had to say goodbye to everyone It was so wonderful to meet everyone and I had such a blast on the trip. I didn't want the weekend to end.

| I had a great time. Got to the hotel around 1:00 p.m. Friday and headed for the casino. Was wandering around when I heard John and Libs holler my name. Hung out there with Libs and Queenie for a bit and then off to the airport to pick up Jewels and Mariner. Hung out at the lounge that night with everybody, then watched BB with the gang and was in bed early as I had been up for almost 36 hours on a couple of hours sleep. Spent part of Saturday hanging out at the pool with a bunch of lovely ladies. I thought about you Joe. It was rough having all the lovelies to myself. ![]() J.D. and I went to Caesars Palace Saturday afternoon and hung out in the Forum shops people watching, window shopping, and getting lost. I couldn't find the escalator even though I was standing about ten feet from it. Saturday night I hung out around the casino with Mariner, Roseskid and Critical. Got to spend a little time with the lovely Snowflake family.Sunday I went to the Flamingo with Dags, Jluvs, and Libs then hung out at the pool again with Pom, Jewels and Snowie. Had to leave to be at the airport by 2:00 but the plane was late and I didn't get to leave til after 5:00. During this time I managed to lose a little money, but not too much. The only $ I won was at the airport. A whopping $25. ![]() All in all it was a wonderful time and I strongly urge all of you to attend FORTcon 3.
