ok, took the dogs out for a run and my McNab goes and pulls the ligement from the back of her rear leg loose. so that $2,300 going out to the vet friday....the day after I get my gut operated on and also the washing machine has broke down. so it looks like someone has got it in for me not to make this trip at all. damn, I was so looking forward to making it and seeing everyone. well I go in today for the pre reg. stuff and then tomorrow fopr the knife.

Woo HOO! Just made the reservations, and my sister (who is a lurker here....somewhere....) is coming with me! We are planning to apply for next years' TAR... so hopefully we can get a practice run with the FORT version.

I'm cracking up at myself: I honest-to-goodness signed up for a 2 hour timeshare presentation so I could get my room for $50 bucks TOTAL. Am I a geek, or a freeeeekin genius? More money for FUN, less for a room I will barely use. Now I just have to make it through 2 hours of brainwashing and subliminal messages and somehow walk out without buying a timeshare.

Those suckers make it tough to say no, though. I bought a timeshare in Florida some years ago, but I cancelled it within a week (I had 14 days to cancel), because the sales person was very persuasive. I have a hard time saying NO anyway.

I'm definitely coming, and a friend of mine is also flying in. We'll share a room at the Sahara.

My plan is to come in on Friday morning, and leave on Monday.
