| FORTcon 2 I wanted to show a little (but just a little) initiative and start a thread about the next FORTcon. We talked about Las Vegas as the site for it. Anyone have any suggestions on where would be a good place to stay? Also, what would be a good date? I don't see why this should be in the spring, I mean looking back at FORTcon 1, there is really no reason why it should take several months to plan the event. But maybe I am naive. And I am NOT volunteering. I cannot commit to anything more than a month into the future. Anyway, comments, suggestions? |

| I'm all for having it in a nice, warm place like Vegas but the problem is, if we have it Vegas we can never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER talk about what happened at FORTCon2, since what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. I would be sad if I couldn't tell everyone how great FORTCon2 was!!! |

| You can tell everyone how great it was, you just can't go into specifics on WHY ![]() And no, it doesn't take a terribly long time to organize such an event, but we're not going to have FORTcon once a month just because it's easy. We can wait. It'll make it that much better. | |

| I like the idea of Vegas, too...just not in summer. Early fall would be good.

| Same here, summer Vegas is both hot and packed.

| Let's see: I haven't been to Las Vegas since 2000, flights b/t San Fran and Vegas are affordable, and I'm longing to create my own "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" commercial. Count me in! ![]() |
