Why has no one suggested New York City?

For some reason, including New York City in the discussion makes me think of the scene in the Denzel Washington film The Siege:

Agent Hubbard: Chicago. Las Vegas. Montreal. We're not the first city to have to deal with FORTcon. This is New York City. We can take it.

But let's worry about Vegas, baby! I realize it is really early to plan officially, but maybe it would be possible to just pick a date soon, so we can have the pleasure of meeting queenB this time. Are we thinking about the fall again, or maybe sometime as early as March or April? I understand that we don't want to be in Vegas during the summer.

I say that FORTcon should be a semi-annual event. I think we can do it without it going stale. And if people have a scheduling conflict they wont have to wait a whole year to attend. This is the internet, things move fast! So we could do Vegas in spring and some eastern city in the fall. That's my suggestion anyway. I think all of us raving about FORTcon 1 will motivate a lot of people to go to FORTcon 2. Let's not waste all that hype by waiting a whole year for the next one.
