I had a vega too, until mr. gracie decided the carburator needed tuned. It never ran again. Boy, I loved that car.

The only problem I foresee with Vegas is how spread out we'll be. There will be 10 or 12 mini-FORTcons from Downtown to Caesars to MGM to Hard Rock to Luxor instead of one, big, god-almighty FORTcon rollin' 30-deep (or whatever number shows up).Originally Posted by mrdobolina
And, hey, I don't care--do whatcha like, but it's always more fun to keep the jackass antics in one place so we can exchange stories and compare notes and "post-game" later, like we're doing now. Oh, well, the free booze and a chance to win money (not to mention the $3 steak-and-egg breakfast I wouldn't feed my dog) is a sweet, sweet siren song I can't resist.
If I had to choose one Canadian city that I thought could withstand our blowing into town and wreaking havoc, Montreal would be it. It's that oo-la-la French cuisine that's so well done that you don't have to go to Paris for; it's the interesting architecture and interesting neighborhoods, and the people are just lovely (I don't mean just physically).Originally Posted by Jay
But the weather! The last year I spent in la Belle Province it snowed nine months out of the year. And when it's not snowing, it's that humidity that sticks to the back of your shirt. The only good time to go would be during Fall, right around now.

I had a vega, too. I hated that car. It would have been better if the owners before me hadn't taken out the stock manual transmission and put in an automatic. When I got rid of it, the transmission was slipping. We are talking zero to 60 in like 5 miles. It was a sporty little car. Red with black racing stripes, looked like it would be fast. Something in the electrical system went kaput and it got no power. The person that bought it from me got that problem fixed, but not the transmission. Someone stole it out of his driveway, I guess thinking cool joyride. They found it a mile down the road.![]()

As for Vegas, maybe we could all choose the same hotel to stay at. It shouldn't be too hard if we go off season.
