    Yeah, some more than others.
I actually wanted to sleep in until 10:30am (oh, it would've been so goood), but I didn't want to miss saying goodbye to you guys. OH, the sacrifices I make!

Sleep in Sunday morning? I went to bed at 4:00, was up at 7:00, and on the road by 8:00 to drive 400 miles.

That's because you're nuts, Unk. I have to have at least 4 hours of sleep or I will become a werewolf.

    LG,

Thanks for the compliment about being too young but we already have two grand daughters. If you could put up with us full time come on down!

Wow, it sounds like a wonderful time was had by all. How many people attended altogether? And how were you able to pull it off to get some many people? Would you do it again and where would you go next?

Again, it sounds like a bunch of wonderful people getting to know their wonderful friends. Good for you guys! Maybe I'll even check out the pics even though I dont know many of you well.

We had just under 30, I believe, in total. Less than we'd originally expected, but that's to be expected, too, and it was really a good group size, because we were all able to mingle with one another all weekend, and really get to know each other pretty well. And quality time with the other members of the site is always a good thing, even for a guy wearing a cow hat

We pulled it off by spending 6 months organizing things, and spending quite a bit of money (I've just totalled up my bills for FORTcon I, and it comes to about what an average factory worker would bring home in a month, for reference sake).

We're definitely doing it again, and we've decided to wait a couple of months before doing any REAL decision-making, although Vegas seems to be the vast concensus here so far. When you start having problems with bars closing on you, you immediately think of places where the bars never close

I know it wasn't your intention, boss, and I assume that the total includes your personal bills, but dude--I know you defrayed some (okay, a lot) of the cost of FC out of your own pocket. And now I feel guilty, dammit!

We need to work on a system for next year so that you won't have to dip into your own pocket on so much. When I met my group in London last year, I bought a round of drinks and that was it (cheap bastard that I am).

As for Vegas, hey, don't forget the rooms ought to be less expensive (I've done a little--just a little--poking around), and of course, the drinks are comped! We'll need to get the casino rookies online training in gambling or something, though, so that no one goes home naked except for the barrel they're wearing.

Me too! John, I'd gladly pay a higher registration fee last year so that you don't have to make up the rest. And no more buying dinner for everyone! :nono But it was a great treat, and thanks again.

Next year, I'll treat in Vegas. That is, if no one minds by "treating," I mean to say I'll invite everyone to Picasso inside Bellagio, and when the meal's over, we'll pretend we're all going to the bathroom, then sneak out on the tab. Foolproof!
