7/16 Food Network Star 13 Show Discussion

Beat Bobby Flay - The finalists take on "Beat Bobby Flay." Anne Burrell is guest judge.

    Enjoy the show!

I can't wait to see Matthew get booted, he gets more cocky every show he stays. He will never learn what a jackass he is

How did he not know what coq au vin was????????? Ugh! He is insufferable.

I really like Amy, I'm glad she stayed.

That huge smirk on Matt's face when Amy flubbed her presentation just shows what an unpleasant person he is. And once again, the meal he prepared by himself was subpar. Pity he was on the winning team.

I can't imagine why FN wanted Matt back in the first place. He's smug and insufferable. I can guarantee that I will never watch his show should he win the competition.
On the other hand, Jason may not look like a star but I really enjoy watching him. Something about his voice and POV resonates with me.

Last week I was happy that Amy stayed, but this week I would have preferred she go over David. First time this season I didn't agree with the result.

Can Matthew just fall through a trap door already?

I think Amy has peaked. She still is having so much trouble in her presentations, and her cooking abilities seem a little weak. I like her but agree that David should have stayed over her.

I wanted to reach through the screen for Bobby's shrimp and grits.

I'm happy Jason saved his team with his presentation, but I would have loved him to challenge Bobby to a dessert dish. Bobby is not a sweet person. But, I'm glad he and Rusty are safe. Why, oh why did he choose Matt. Oh, and for those wondering about his savory chops, he cooks Oso Bucco by another name all the time.

I knew Cory would be the only one to Beat Bobby Flay. So, no more Mr. Muscles and delicious. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.

If you think he's bad now, you should've seen him his first season. I maintain honestly that he has something on them in order to keep competing. At first I thought it had something to do with Lenny being in his season; however, Matthew competed his first time the year after that debacle.

On the other hand, Jason may not look like a star but I really enjoy watching him. Something about his voice and POV resonates with me.
Jason is also an Everyman of sorts - he is a lot more physically similar to most of us who watch the network who cook.

Add to it his voice, his humor and charm (case in point his Christmas cake that won him the championship), you have a good mix for a true Food Network Star.
