    Stacey Poon-Kinney - Season 9

    Stacey Poon-Kinney

    Season 9 Finalist

As the great-granddaughter of a chef, Stacey, 34, grew up around food, first performing tasks in the kitchen when she was a child. After pursuing her love of a dance, she teamed up with her father to open The Trails Eatery in San Diego, which was featured on Season 2 of Restaurant: Impossible.

She seems 'watchable' but I'm not really sure of her concept. Vintage?

With that concept, is she going to re-invent the chicken pot pie?

Interesting that her family restaurant had to be "rescued" by Robert. I wonder what condition it was in and how it got that way.

She doesn't seem to be the most hands-on person to me. Maybe a little too la-de-da Hamptons for my taste.

I want to see what her vintage kitchen is all about.

The way Alton, Bobby and Giada all talked to her when they were getting ready to make burgers intrigued me. They were very specific about her not losing the 'vintage' idea, which they really seemed to like. It wouldn't surprise me if they had already decided she was the winner.

My husband remembers her being on Restaurant Impossible but he couldn't remember details. He recognized her the first episode.

She and her family were quite nice on RI. No hysteronics, no confrontations... they listened to and learned from Robert. The restaurant is doing well.... reviews have been good .... I like her.

When I think vintage, in regard to food, it conjures images of shrimp cocktail, cottage cheese and peach salad, meat loaf, pot roast, twice baked potatoes, etc. I don't understand this concept. Alton questioned it at the burger challenge since her offering was very current.
