    Wall Art & Decorating

I've been doing some research on making your own wall art from fabric. It's pretty inexpensive and enables you to use the designs and colors you really want in the size you wan. You can even make fabric head boards for beds, although, I don't need one of those right now.

What I find frustrating is that none of the designers demonstrates how to put something on the back to hang it up. Most don't say anything, except to hang it up. I sure would like to know how others are hanging theirs. It doesn't seem likely you could nail a metal piece on the back of these fabric wall pieces.

Some recommend wrapping the frabic over styrofoam, some cardboard, and others canvas stretchers.

Has anyone done this before? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have never done it but I bought one many years ago. It was stapled around a wood frame. The frame was not visible from the front. I have also seen fabric wall art that had tabs to hold a dowel at the top. Decorative cord is attached to the dowel and it is hung by the cord.
