    A leftover throw-together:
Stir-fried chicken, shiitake mushrooms and a bunch of other vegetable sittin' in the fridge, tossed with soba noodles and a miso glaze.

Shiitake mushrooms and miso... are you on a macrobiotic diet? Dinner was the same as last night... macaroni, along with steamed vegetables, including broccoli, mushrooms and onions.

I use fresh mozzarella in this salad and add a bit of fresh spearmint. I haven't added cucumber either, but that would taste good! Very refreshing.

Nope — we just like that stuff.

We had grilled teriyaki chicken thighs, salad and sautéed mushrooms. Plus a citrusy tequila cocktail.

I wonder what TripleGemini had for her birthday dinner?

Oven-fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, and corn. Which is mostly a meal that my husband likes, but I haven't been eating a lot lately, so I didn't care.

And my son made us individual chocolate cakes for dessert :-)

I'm trying a new recipe tonight I found online. It's a chicken fajita skillet dinner. Everything is cooked in the skillet. Even the flour tortilla is cut into strips, then added to the skillet when the fajita mixture is done cooking. Smells good! It's in a soy sauce/brown sugar/lime juice marinade. When done, you serve with a dollop of sour cream atop each piece.

So we got our first CSA last Sunday, and it included rhubarb and strawberries.

So tonight for dessert we had fresh strawberry rhubarb pie :-) It was *so* good. (Oh, and my 16yo just got his permit, so after we went driving for awhile tonight...in a really large empty parking lot...we stopped at the grocery store and picked up ice cream. He didn't notice that I had him get the "light" kind :-).)
