Hulled barley with a little chicken and lots of peas in a coconut curry sauce... sauteed onions.

All we had was a bowl of homemade chicken soup but I was surprised how filling it was. And tasty, too.

We snacked a bit on leftovers. Now we are going to a wine walk for the rest.

Shells and meatballs. I made the sauce, I talked my son through the meatballs while he made them.

And we have enough meatballs and sauce to last through tomorrow's blizzard :-)

Purchased the vitamixer... and LOVING IT! Made tortilla soup in it... which was really tasty. Enjoying smoothies... especially the ones with a wee bit of vodka. A great way of maximizing veggie intake.

Tonight I am going to try... chicken potato spinach soup.

Indeed she does! She is the reason I ended up getting it. Every time I would visit she would me a different drink. It really is amazing just how much one can make in the vitamixer. I really like the fact there is NO wasting of fruits and veggies. It all goes in. I make a morning and lunch smoothie and have TONS of energy now.
