Me too! I love the smell of cooking, simmering food after having been outside in the cold. It is comforting to me.
I like to cook Hash with my leftover Roast and serve it over biscuits.
Yesterday, I cooked Vegetable and chopped up leftover grilled steak soup, in my Crock pot. I'll have leftovers tonight.

I haven't cooked since Sunday :-) Guess that means I need to make something tomorrow, especially now that I've read what everyone else has been making (it all sounds so good!).

I am having leftovers. I made a hearty veggie soup last night.... leeks, butternut squash, yukon gold potatoes, carrots, celery, chickpeas and red pepper flakes for a pinch of heat. Well... I put in a bit more than a pinch. It was on the spicy side.

I just popped a quiche in the oven - ham, cheddar and caramelized onions - but since it's not ready for another hour and I'm really hungry, I used a bit of the extra chopped ham, cheddar and onions to make a panini on my Foreman grill. YUM!

It's been so cold and wet today that I needed some comfort food.

It was really cold here today...I think our high was 9F. So I made chili...apart from the fact that I made it too spicy for me ;-), it's one of the best batches I've ever made. (I just added cheddar cheese and sour cream. Probably what most would consider too much sour cream. But I was really hungry :-) )

The sour cream probably made it perfect. The dairy takes the edge off of the heat. Sounds great! I went to a meeting, so snacked on leftovers for dinner. I'll try to cook up something good tomorrow night. Chili sounds wonderful!

Dinner tonight was farfalle (bowtie) pasta with alfredo sauce mixed with broccoli, zucchini, carrots, cauliflower, squash. I had a little pre-dinner mishap, though...I singed the ends of my hair.
