    It's going to be nothing but ham for a while. I bought a spiral cut ham at Target the other day because they were on sale. I had ham and eggs earlier and will do bean soup in the slow cooker within the next day or two. There was SO much ham that I'm freezing a bunch of it. I don't want to get sick of it OR have it go bad.

    So yeah, it's ham sandwich city tonight

    Hubby made the most delicious tortilla soup! He improved (a lot!!!) on the recipe in a recent issue of Sunset magazine.

    Critical: Great minds and all that ;-) I got a ham at Market Basket on Saturday because it was on sale. So far, we've had ham, an egg and ham frittata, and a "whatever" (in this case, potatoes, cabbage, and ham). And I have some awesome ham stock in the fridge for soup.

    But tonight we're having pizza. It's the first night in more than a week without swim team practice or meets :-)

    I've been scouring the internet for recipes to use ham in that don't include cheese or cream! I'm not having too much luck. Just a few recipes that, frankly, don't sound all that good. I'm definitely freezing a bunch of it today. With turkey, so much of it is bones and you actually don't end up with that much meat on a comparably sized turkey. A 12 pound ham, OTOH, is A LOT of meat!

    Tonight, it's bean soup. My mom bought be a few packages of Hambone soup mix from Honey Baked. It's my favorite and our store here is always out of it. I love recipes where all I have to do is add water AND it's delicious! I put everything in the crockpot this morning. The house smells SO good!

    I'm getting ready to make another ham sandwich. I love Honey Baked's champagne mustard!
