I am making a soup with roasted butternut squash, onions, pears and probably curry seasoning. It is getting late and it might be more for tomorrow at this rate! I am just sortof making this soup up...it smells good. I am having a glass of Oregon pinot noir while the vegetables and fruit roast.
We had prime rib, Yorkshire pudding, and green beans. Yum :-)
Tonight I am making skillet chicken fajita.

I made chili in the crockpot yesterday so will have leftovers. It wasn't the best I've ever made, so I'll have to find a way to spice it up a little or have it over pasta with parmesan on top.
Count your blessings!
Chicken stew. I am having a week off of red meat. So, chicken stew with dumplings

We had chicken wings...I can't eat really hot foods, so I made a spiced butter sauce (as compared to a "spicy" butter sauce) with melted butter, slices of garlic (to infuse the flavor), onion powder, a dash of ancho chili powder, a squirt of Liquido Salazo, and some salt and pepper. Then I basted the chicken wings and put them in the broiler (for a total of 18 minutes). Wow, they were good.
Served them with homemade blue cheese dressing and celery sticks. The boys were happy :-)
I made some homemade chili for supper tonight. I like to simmer it on really low temp all afternoon. We'll have grilled cheese sandwiches with it.
