Tonight was salmon (started on the stove in a little olive oil, with dill on top) and then finished in the oven; baked potatoes; apple onion gratin. (A friend of mine is coming to visit next week and she's vegetarian, so I'm playing with different recipes.)

I think tomorrow we'll have beef stew. (My husband bought the meat, so I have to do something with it :-) )

I may have to make a change...I just found the meat in the freezer. <sigh> I'll have to see if it thaws in time...if not, we'll have stuffed flounder tonight and stew tomorrow. (And it's cool here, too...41F right now.)

Yesterday I also baked pumpkins (I still have to scoop it out and drain it)...pumpkin pies made with fresh pumpkin are **so** good. And today will be pesto production day...I have to harvest the remaining basil before we get a freeze.

I made a huge batch of chicken/potato/cheese chowder a few weeks ago, and froze the leftovers. Tonight's the night!

The beef thawed! So we had beef stew last night :-)

Tonight will be stuffed flounder with seafood sauce. Not sure about the sides yet.
