Breakfast for dinner: cornmeal-orange pancakes with fresh cranberry-maple butter. A slice of prosciutto on the side.

Carrots, leeks and chicken soup for the last two nights. Yum! I used the last of our garden leeks. I need to plant more next year.

I plan to freeze some and make another carrot dish in a couple of days. I am still on a wheat free diet (since June) so just the soup for me was perfect. I may have some chicken leftover from my meal last night just to add a bit more protein to this meal.
The carrot and ginger soup really appeals to me. YUM! You didn't post that on the recipe thread did you? It sounds like something I may have to make soon. I love carrots. I love their color and taste. And ginger is the perfect food, IMO. I love everything about ginger. I love the way it smells and taste. I even love the way the name sounds. Ginger...it just makes me feel good to say the name. I know.....it sounds crazy, but there's something about ginger. lol

Pasta tonight with shrimp and salmon (kinda prepared like scampi). My son ate two big bowls :-)

Brown rice, chicken sweet and sour meatballs and peas. Comfort food on a cold night. And a pomegranate cocktail just to make it interesting...
