Someone mentuioned a BLAT salad ... and I just searched because I wondered what dressing, if any was best.

    Here's what I found:

Bacon Lettuce Avocado Tomato Salad Recipe - Tablespoon

I'm going to try it once.

Oh, I never thought to look for a dressing...I just made my own.

I mixed mayo and sour cream (about 1/4 cup each) with salt, pepper, 1 teaspoon of Dijon, about 2 tablespoons of honey balsamic vinegar, and a tablespoon of the bacon grease. (Gutmutter is probably cringing right now ;-) ) I add a little milk if it's too thick. Taste and adjust (if there's too much of a mayo taste, add a little more vinegar. If it's too tart, add more mayo or sour cream.)

Sounds good ... but that is where I heard about Fried avocados. Do you fry them?

I've never fried avocados (or tried them). I'm not sure if I want to try them (although I'm thinking about it, at least a little).

Given that avocados are so delicious right off the tree -- and that there's enough of a fat content raw for even the most decadent palates -- why the hell would anyone want to fry them?
    I don't get it.

Tonight, I'm having pizza and wings from Pizza Hut. I can't wait!

Pan pizza is my favorite crust. And I like the crispy bone-in wings.

    Of course -- silly me!

Toasted red quinoa with hearts of palm, artichokes, and heirloom tomatoes.
