I just brown my roast and put it in the crock pot and add beef stock or french onion soup or you can use water and then salt, pepper and put garlic powder for seasoning and chopped onion and let it cook all day.....make sure you have enough liquid.

Re: Crockpot recipes

I put my beef roast in the crockpot with just a cup of water or so, and I sprinkle a package of dry Lipton Onion soup mix all over it, and my veggies. I like red potatoes and carrots with my roast.

1 roast, do not have to brown it
1 envelope brown gravy mix

Re: Crockpot recipes

Here's another version that's good too.

1 beef roast
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 can Coke (I use Diet Coke because that's all I ever have in the house)

Mix soups and Coke together and pour over roast. Cook on low 6 to 8 hours. Can thicken gravy or eat as is. this also makes delicious gravy for mashed potatoes. I've also thrown carrots and celery in along with the roast.

Ness's Crockpot Lasagna Recipe - Lasagna Recipe for the Crockpot

1 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed and minced
1 large jar spaghetti sauce (such as Ragu in the 1 lb. 10 ounce jar)
1 package (8 ounces) no-boil lasagna noodles
16 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
1 lb. ricotta cheese
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan/Romano cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
Brown the beef, onion, and garlic in a little oil in a frying pan. Drain off any grease.
Add the spaghetti sauce into the browned meat mixture. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, milk, and egg. Beat until thoroughly mixed and smooth. Then mix in the mozzarella cheese and the grated cheese, so that all the cheeses are combined.

Grease the slow cooker/Crock Pot with some vegetable shortening on the bottom and sides.

Put about 1/4 of the meat and sauce mixture in the bottom of the slow cooker/Crock Pot. Put a layer of noodles on top of that (break or cut them if needed). Put about 1/3 of the cheese mixture on top of that. Then repeat with sauce, noodles, cheese for another 2 layers. Top with meat sauce. Cook on low for 4-6 hours or until noodles are tender.

I saw this recipe here a couple of weeks ago, and today, I finally made it. It was fantastic. I'm glad I tried it, this would be a great dish to take for a pot luck since you can just keep it on warm in the crock pot.

I'll be making this again.

Re: Crockpot recipes

Found this one today on allrecipes. It got very high reviews and would be a great dish for football Sundays.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches - All Recipes

4 frozen skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 (17.5 fluid ounce) bottle buffalo wing sauce, divided
1/2 (1 ounce) package dry ranch salad dressing mix
2 tablespoons butter
6 hoagie rolls, split lengthwise

Directions
Place the frozen chicken breasts into a slow cooker, and pour in 3/4 of the wing sauce and the ranch dressing mix. Cover, and cook on Low for 7 to 8 hours.
Once the chicken has cooked, add the butter, and shred the meat finely with two forks. Pile the meat onto the hoagie rolls, and splash with the remaining buffalo wing sauce to serve.

Re: Crockpot recipes

Livin, a friend of mine just emailed me that EXACT same recipe. I am making them for football this weekend.

Let me say that your crockpot oatmeal recipe has now gone far and wide. I have raved about it so much that I have emailed it to at least 15 people and they are all raving and forwarding it as well. You are the QUEEN of Oatmeal!

I am so addicted to it now that when I forgot to make it last night, I was actually disappointed that I had to resort to a muffin for breakfast this morning.

Re: Crockpot recipes

I wanted to add that I made the oatmeal with pumpkin pie spice and OMG, was it good. I've also used apple pie spice and maple syrup and both are wonderful.
