They are totally fragrant! And they are used to make Lemon flavored Vodka. An important part of the food chain.

That really is an interesting & attractive looking fruit. I agree it will make a great centerpiece as well as a conversation piece.
I just wish they had something like that around here. We never get the exotic fruits.

Ah, yes . . . Thanksgiving. Don't hate me - I've opted out of cooking this year, and will be on a cruise ship in the Virgin Islands. Poor me, huh?

    LOL.

I just want to see a picture of you and Mr. AZ hanging on for dear life on the "wet and wild" Banana Boat ride in the Bahamas!

Buddha's Hand looks like rheumatoid arthritis. I find it disturbing.

But my mind is open to being changed.

I got a Buddha's Hand once and I don't remember why. Maybe I saw it and just thought it would be fun to try. I don't remember making anything with it, but I remember my kitchen being fragrant.

    Can you describe the fragrance?

Like I said, it's been a while and I don't have a clear memory - sort of fresh and lemony? I mostly remember the bizarre shape of it.

Do you have to cut it open to experience the fragrance? Now, I'm all curious.

I think I will pass on Buddha's Hand. Freaky looking thing.
