| Re: Anyone got a recipe for... Mix 8 oz. of cream cheese with 2/3 cups of sugar, an egg, and some mini semi-sweet chocolate chips. Place a heaping Tablespoonful of this mixture in the middle of each cupcake prior to baking. You can still ice your cupcakes but they will be much tastier. |

| Re: Anyone got a recipe for... Thanks guys. I think I will add some stuff in the batter. I also decided to crush some peppermints and sprinkle on the frosting for a more festive look.

| Re: Anyone got a recipe for... I also was going to suggest crushed peppermints So...uh, stick a Hershey's kiss, or Christmas shaped piece of candy on top. I did some Valentie's Day ones a while back with pink icing and chocolate heat cany on top a couple of years ago, and they were very cute. I don't think I'll be baking much if any this Christmas, beyond one pecan pie (widely known among those who know as the world's best!) ; I'm just really worn out with having to re-learn my whole job and traveling a lot further daily--at least I didn't get laid off! (Even as I typed this, my mind is telling me that I HAVE to at least make 'a few' cookies--the pecan cinnamon sticks nobody else makes, and some peanut butter--with a kiss on top )

| Re: Anyone got a recipe for... I bake my butternut in the oven, at 350, cut in half, seeded, and cut side down on a cookie sheet sovered with aluminum foil sprayed with Pam. It takes about an hour and a half to get it good and done, but eliminates having to peel it-- I know myself, and that I'd probably cut my hand wide open trying to get that hard rind off! By the way, butternut also makes yummy pies--cook as above and then use a sweet tater or pumpkin pie recipe.
