Debb. is it officially a "breakfast" or is it a brunch? Reuben casseroles are a big hit in our family. The ingredients are layered in a large pan the night before and are refrigerated and then just pop into the oven in the morning to bake.

Never heard of a Reuben casserole! Sounds interesting.

That is a great Idea. I never thought of doing that ... so I just went an looked. there are loads of yummy sounding slow cooker breakfast recipes.

Good ideas. I'll look up a recipe for the Reuben casseole. Sounds great.

I guess it can be called a brunch. Here's a link on it. It's anything from the late morning until 3:00 p.m.! I'll have to check on that and also get a definite time that we will start serving. I'm sure some of the younger ones will want it closer to 9:00 a.m. instead of 8:00. We may go as late as 10:00.

Hash brown casserole is always good.
A raw veggie tray with a dip option.
A variety of muffins baked in mini tins served with fruit butters.
    Cooked sliced apples.
Apple cider with mulling spices warming in a crock pot smells and taste delicious.

Oh yes. That reminds me. One of my sisters-in-law makes a hash brown casserole that is out of this world. My mom's is good too.

My father loves cooked, spiced apples and so do I. I'm going to make that dish. I will also make some hot apple cider, as I want that cooking to smell up the house that morning.

I was making applesauce yesterday and wanted to make it more interesting somehow. I remembered I had a can of pumpkin I wanted to use, so I put it in with pumpkin pie spice and a little molasses. OMG. Pumpkin pie applesauce. Yum!

Hubby and I make this savory bread pudding. It works well for any meal. I like to add fresh fennel and sage (if I have 'em around).

A friend gave me a LOT of apples and I still am grown over with raspberries.

So ... I decided to make apple raspberry pancakes! We are eating them for desert!

They are just scrumptious. Raspberry Apple pie is next.
