The Breakfast Thanksgiving is a REALLY good idea!

I need some cornbread! Somebody make sure that's on the breakfast menu!

I'm actually thinking about making some homemade yeast rolls from scratch. I've never made them, but am considering it. Does anyone know if you need a bread machine to do that?

No you don't need a bread machine.

Good. I'm going to practice making it a few times before the holiday arrives.

My mom made homemade raised dinner rolls every single week growing up. LOVE them. They're not hard, either. Just a long process with waiting for them to rise. I may have to make some this weekend.
    Count your blessings!

Oh my. This recipe has you waiting for it to rise, then kneading, waiting, etc. for at least 3 hours. I guess it's feasible if I start at 5:00 a.m., but that's a lot of work on the rolls. I have other dishes I'm making too. This might be out of my league. lol

Sometimes, I think we can take all of the fun and joy out of a holiday by overdoing and stressing ourselves. Some people seem to find nobility in all that, but I vote for good but simple. Like cornbread! You cannot beat a good hoecake.

Debb use rapid rise yeast and it will go faster also sit them in a real warm place and that helps.

Thanks for tips. I'll check it out. If it's over my skill level, I'll have to substitute. I'm not into stress over a holiday meal either. lol

I remember that in my elementary school, the cafeteria staff made homemade rolls everyday. I recall it well. We had hotdogs once every few weeks and they even made homemade hotdog rolls! Back then, I didn't understand how special this was. We knew how delicious it was though. Those were some of the best cooks in the world.
