Oh wow! I've seen that stuff before. That's the stuff that the birds eat and then bless your car with! I've always wondered what it tasted like, but have never been super-curious!

I always liked that "Polk Salad Annie....Gator's got your granny" song!

We don't eat the berries, we eat the leaves.

    I have a kitchen!!!

It's only taken a week and a few tantrums, but I can cook. Except we still can't microwave until hubby gets around to wiring in a new grounded outlet so I can plug the microwave in.
The kitchen is deceiving. The cabinets are huge, but only have a bottom and one shelf, so it's been fun trying to get stuff to fit. And the pantry is a joke. But it's all organized and we can cook!
It's taken me a week to find out drinking glasses as "someone" didn't label the boxes he packed.
So my first meal will be To Die For Pot Roast as I have to work tomorrow and it can go in the crock pot.
We've been living off ramen noodles, sandwiches and takeout. I am so sick of all three I could die.

I tried the "To Die for Pot Roast" last night and it was sooo good. I used a pork roast because that's what I had and also put carrots in with it. Thanks to whoever posted it. The recipe is definitely a keeper.

Has anyone else tried the Lumpy Bumpy Bar at Trader Joe's yet? It's caramel over peanut nougat and peanuts, covered with dark chocolate. Thank God I only bought one.

I print out recipes that I plan to try, or totally adore and place them on my 'fridge under a magnet. People just seem to love to come to my kitchen and browse what's under the magnet! I've given away more recipes than I can count....and they are all from our recipe thread. Even an insurance adjuster guy started nosing on my 'fridge, and I had to send him off with about 3 of them! I guess that's a good thing. The homeowner insurance people have been very, very good to me!

It also makes to die for leftovers. To die for pot roast sandwiches on toasted sourdough bread and to die for hash, mixed in with some potatos and sauted onions in the skillet for breakfast. Serve with a sunny side up egg over the hash.

Oh my, I stopped at Fresh Market today. That is a dangerous store! Too many goodies. But I was stong and came out of there with a cobb salad.

I LOVE Fresh Market. It's such a snobby grocery store and I absolutely adore it because of that. It's so expensive though, so I rarely purchase anything in there. They are fun to browse through and occasionally pick up specialty items, but there is no way I could do regular grocery shopping there.

We have a grocery store here by my work that is "snobby" and super expensive. It is fun to go there for lunch though because their deli has a hand made sushi area and that is much better than the pre-made rolls.
