In the summer, Blue Bell ice cream, has Key Lime Pie and it is so good. I'll have to look for the Ben & Jerry's and stock up. Ice cream is my weakness.

Re: General Food Talk

My favorite limited edition ice cream is the Edy's Thin Miny girl scout cookies flavor. I love it.

Turkey Hill has a limited German Chocolate Cake flavor that is also delicious.

Re: General Food Talk

Barnie's coffee has a limited edition of their Santa's White Christmas coffee in ice cream. LOVE the coffee, haven't tried the ice cream yet.

I grew up in the land of the key lime. We had a tree in our yard. I've had key lime pie in many variations from the traditional pie with merangue to cheese cake. I no longer am a fan of Key lime pie. I am no longer a fan of much citrus at all or watermelons. I think it comes from years and years and years of having as much of it as I wanted free because I lived where it was grown. I just got so tired of it all. I no longer eat spagetti either as I got tired of it too.
Clementines are about the only citrus I still eat.

I wonder if I'll ever get the taste back for those things again?

Re: General Food Talk

I was at the doc's today, and they asked about my fruit allergies. They said that the melons, bananas, kiwis were all associated with latex allergies. Haven't shown any latex allergy yet.

Re: General Food Talk

I just made a cranberry-orange relish-- one bag of cranberries, one whole orange (including skin) chopped in a food processor (I used my Cuisinart Mini-Prep and had to do it in steps), and then sugar to taste. So refreshing!

yum! That is my favorite relish. No one else likes it but me and my recipe makes so much, I freeze it in small containers and then can have it throughout the year.
