    Re: General Food Talk

Thanks all. I am going to make greek pasta salad with orzo and a lemon/olive oil dressing. I love this salad and have been craving it, but I am the only one that eats it and I will just make more dressing to put on it when I eat it after the first time.

How do you figure out the calories in vegetables? Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place online but I cant find the kind of information I am looking for.

I just got some delicious cucumbers last night and am dipping them in some ranch dressing... yum! Best summer veggie ever!

I believe cucumbers are zero points in WW so they probably have next to no calories. The ranch dressing on the other hand has many calories.
    Yup, with donuts!!

1/2 cup of sliced cucumber with the peel is 8 calories

Some of the fat free veggie dips out there aren't too bad. I make a black bean dip with roasted red peppers, lime juice and cumin that is totally fat free and great as a veggie dip.

I have a Ranch dip recipe that's low fat. I'll post in the recipe thread when I find it.

    Re: General Food Talk

I just put chicken breasts in the crockpot with a can of enchilada sauce. Have no idea where I'm going after that. Just trying to get ahead of the game for dinner tonight. Thinking I can shred the chicken and serve with tortillas. Any other ideas? I seem to be at a complete loss these days for dinner ideas. I think because my attention is focused elsewhere and food is sort of last on my list.

Just went by White Castle to grab a drink, and they are now selling Bar-be-que pulled pork sliders. Interesting and, no, I didn't get one. That's not what the tummy wanted.
