    its a home shopping channel..lol

Ok I know its not a crock pot recipe,, but it is a way to turn your grill into a rotisserie and amaze your friends in the process

my fav is to do what we like to call " BEER BUTT CHICKEN"

Take a whole roasting chicken, put whatever dry rub you like ont he outside, I like a mixture of a poultry seasoning w/garlic , lime etc.. you can also put sliced limes down in the skin..
Then put a potato in the neck of the chicken. Cut the top off a tall can of beer take 2 or 3 sips and put some garlic, pepper stuff you like in the beer, put the chicken's butt over the can so it is standing up and put it on the Grill at about med/low heat close the lid and let it cook about 1to 2 hours.. the skin will look black but its not burned it is very crispy and yummy the inside gets steamed in the beer and spices and is juicy and soooo good!

Only in Arkansas can you get away with cooking something called "beer butt chicken" and have people WANT to eat it.

    But it DOES sound good!

Oh, for a minute there, I was reading "chicken on THE throne" - and had a completely different image.

I'm reviving the crackpot dilemma, since I'm trying a new recipe today. I got it from BF's wonderful link to "Favorite Crockpot Recipes".

    Broccoli Rice and Chicken

2 pounds chicken tenders or boneless chicken breasts cut in strips (Actually, I'm just using 2 boneless breast pieces)
1 1/4 cups uncooked converted rice (I'm using long grain white rice)
1 package Knorr's Cream of Broccoli Soup Mix
    1 1/2 cups chicken broth
    pepper, to taste

Place rice in a lightly greased slow cooker/Crock Pot. Sprinkle with parsley and pepper. Top with chicken pieces. Mix together the soup mix and broth. Pour over chicken and rice. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.

    ---

I figure I'll give it a try, and report here how it is. Maybe it'll suck like the last recipe I tried, but this is the #1 recipe from that site BF gave...So it can't be THAT bad, right? Right?
