“MEET MY FOLKS” SCORES ITS SECOND HIGHEST NUMBERS EVER, UP 9 PERCENT FROM LAST WEEK’S POWERFUL 18-49 RATING

BURBANK, Calif. - March 11, 2003 - NBC’s hit reality series “Fear Factor” grabbed series record ratings last night, as NBC won the night among adults 18-49 with its highest non-sports Monday average since May 3, 1999, the night of “Noah’s Ark, Part 2.”

NBC’s night was also highlighted by the second-highest results ever for “Meet My Folks,” which pulled NBC within a share of the 9:30-11 p.m. lead in 18-49 and dominated that time period among adults, men and women 18-34.

According to updated in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, last night’s 8-9:30 p.m. ET Las Vegas edition of “Fear Factor” (8.0 rating, 20 share among adults 18-49, 18.3 million viewers overall) broke the show’s previous 18-49 and total-viewer records, set with a Feb. 10 “Couples Edition” (7.8/20 among adults 18-49, 17.8 million viewers overall).
