| Fear Factor "Oh Baby Give Me One More Chance" 05-03-04 Fear Factor 05-03-04 Welcome back folks, this week brings back a bunch of losers and gives them a shot at redemption. But, it will mean further humiliation for 5 of these lucky people. You may remember some of them: Eric Seestedt – Private Banker from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. You might remember this self proclaimed “Viking” for choosing to wear Penny loafers while attempting stunts. Alyssa Trupelli – Voiceover Artist from New York, NY. From season #1, she had a hard time with the buffalo nads. Carmen Taglia – Graphic Designer from Chicago, Illinois. I’m sure you all remember this guy for his horrific faceplant during the “jump from one speedboat to the other” stunt. Mandy Lane – Model from Bartlett, Illinois. Ah yes, Mandy. I don’t remember what she did exactly, but I do remember her. Michael “Fudge” Thompson – Postal Worker from Long Beach, California. Joe Rogan has dubbed him “the greatest s*** talker in the history of Fear Factor”, and we’re about to find out why. Gina Huerta – Producer (Jerry Springer Show) from Chicago, Illinois. How could anyone forget Gina? She talked a ton of smack and displayed a hair-trigger gag reflex while eating water buffalo penis. The gang makes their way along a pier and meets up with host Joe Rogan. He welcomes them back and lets them know that things have been kicked up a notch this time around. HE than lets them in on the first stunt: 2 for 1 Deal at SIKORSKY! A beam will be suspended by 2 helicopters above the water. Contestants must transfer 6 flags from one end to the other. The 2 men and 2 women that transfer the most flags the fastest, before falling into the water, will move on. Alyssa is up first and recounts her disgust over the buffalo testicles. As she goes off to get ready, the others start the trash talk. Nothing great, but they do crack on Eric’s silly loafers and his ability (or lack thereof) to throw punches. Alyssa gets going, and gets out to a slow, steady pace. The beam starts to sway as the wind from the chopper blades whips down on her. She is able to keep it together for a bit, but falls off to finish with 4 flags in 1:55.6 Mandy is up next, and reveals that she has gotten married and had a baby since we last saw her. Well, that just ruins everything. She does look good in her sky blue 2 piece though, so we’ll need to make room in the MILF category. She starts out at a much quicker pace, but comes close to losing it with her 4th flag. She hangs on, and is able to get all 6 to advance automatically. Gina, and her constantly running mouth, finishes things off for the ladies. We get a flashback of her willie chomping as she gets ready, and Carmen comments “I like a girl whose stomach’s hairier than mine”. Ouch. She starts quickly as well, but stumbles about halfway through. She recovers, stumbles again, but manages to get all 6 flags before taking a hard and awkward looking fall off the platform. That will send Alyssa on a second walk of shame. Carmen is up first for the guys and wants to make up for the worst wipe out in the history of Fear Factor. Of course they show it multiple times from multiple angles, and damn, that was bad. Hey Carmen, that’s using your head! He starts out very slow, it’s like watching a baby take its first steps. He finally clips the 6th flag at around 7 minutes. “Fudge” is up next and promptly rips off his shirt just like Hulk Hogan. Whatcha gonna do brother A recap of Mike’s first appearance illustrates how his showing off cost him dearly. He starts fast, but halfway though drops a flag. That means Carmen will advance. Mike finishes up with 5 flags in 3:02.3 Eric closes out this stunt, but decides against going with the silly loafers. He rambles a bit, but it’s way too stupid for me to transcribe. He starts out using a surfer style shuffle, but that doesn’t prove to be very effective as he loses his balance and falls off after his 3rd flag. Bye bye Eric. The remaining 4 make their way to a diner and find Joe standing behind the counter. Today’s special is: Waiter, there’s a fly in my maggots Contestants must suck up blended maggots and spit it into a glass filled with flies. Once the glass is filled, they must drink it all. The person with the slowest time will be sent home, and the fastest time gets to pick the order for the final stunt. Carmen is up first and may be at a disadvantage because he didn’t have to eat anything his first time around. He gets the countdown and digs in, and Gina immediately begins to gag. Mike just starts yelling, I can’t tell if it’s trash talk or encouragement, but it is pretty funny. Carmen very calmly fills the glass and gives it a good shake as Gina gags and Mike continues to yell. Gina stops gagging for a minute to yell at Mike for yelling in her ear, “That’s what he does” Joe points out. He brushes her off and she goes back to gagging as Carmen finishes off his wonderful shake in 2:19.4. After getting the ok from Joe (who almost blows chunks) Carmen reaches for the official “Fear Factor Chuck Bucket” and puts it to good use. The lovely Mandy is up next, and we relive her adventures with the 100 year old egg nog and reindeer nads. She gets to work, and Mike and Gina pick up right where they left off. Somehow, she is able to block out all of the yelling and gagging and move right along. She finishes in a time of 5:19.5 and is able to keep it down afterwards. Gina is next, and when asked what she’d do with the money, she says she’d donate it to charity. “Liar liar maggot on fire” shouts Mike. She gets the countdown and the others start in on her. I don’t see what pinching your nose would do in a situation like this, but she uses that technique for some reason. It’s not helping and she’s having trouble as the others are just relentless in their attack on her. “You’re shaking like a crackhead” yells Mike as Mandy makes vomit sounds. She’s able to fill the glass, but is not able to get any of it down. She’s had enough and calls it quits after the 12 minute mark. Mike finishes this stunt, and has a bit of trouble of his own while filling the glass. He fights every bit of it down, and even stops to talk some trash on occasion. He is able to finish and will move on, but it was well past Carmen’s time. The 3 amigos make their way across a bridge and meet up with Joe who’s standing by train tracks. He congratulates them on making it this far and shows them the final stunt: The Dukes of Fear Factor Contestants must drive a car up a ramp and jump over a moving train. They will land on the other side on top of stacks of boxes and the person whose car is farthest from the ramp will win. Carmen, having had the best time in the previous stunt, gets to choose the order. Mike is picked first and goes off to get suited up. He hops in, gets the countdown, and takes off. He hits the ramp, almost does a complete roll in the air, and hits the boxes for a distance of 54 feet - 6 inches. Mandy is up next and comments that everyone thinks she’s a bad driver. I don’t know if that means a lot here, but we’ll see. She gets going, and has a good run, landing on the roof. Her distance was 55 feet – 9 inches. All eyes are on Carmen as he gets into position, and Mandy is nervous. He takes off and hits it good. We don’t even need a measurement as he’s well past Mandy’s mark. Ladies and Gentlemen, Carmen goes from big faceplanting loser to Fear Factor “Second Chance” champion! Next week: Another all female episode with a trip to the morgue and lots of bugs. In 2 weeks: an all new family episode. To contact the author send mail to jr@fansofrealitytv.com

| The Male Flesh Quotient For those of us who like to see hot male bodies, this was a good episode. Hairy Italian Stallion Carmen took his shirt off during the gross food challenge, and sexy black muscleman Fudge proceeded to do the same. (no complaints from those who enjoy the female form; you get entire episodes of Fear Factor devoted to you!!!) |
